JEWELRY CARE
A precious jewelry is delicate and should be treated with the greatest care.
To prevent damage to your piece, we recommend avoiding exposure to fragrance, chemicals, cosmetics, water (fresh, chlorinated or salt) or to high temperatures (such as prolonged sun exposure), as these could affect its color and form. It is best to wait until fragrances and cosmetics have dried completely before wearing your jewelry.
Jewelry can become fragile when you lift or carry heavy objects. Your precious and ornamental stones will stay magnificent as long as you preserve them from intense thermal shocks.
To prevent scratches, each piece should be stored individually in its own case, pouch, or compartment, so that the stones and metals do not rub against or scratch each other.
Most jewelries can be cleaned to intensify their sparkle: gently scrub them with a very soft brush dipped into soapy water, then carefully rinse them and delicately dry them with a soft, non-lint cloth. Avoid using coarse fibers or fabrics, such as paper or polyester, as these can result in scratching.
Jewelries with leather parts can be cleaned with a soft cloth.
it’s highly recommended to take your jewelry for regular checking and tightening. Over time, prongs can wear out, stones can loosen, and other components can require adjustments. A professional inspection helps ensure the integrity and safety of your jewelry, preventing potential loss of stones or damage to the piece.
CARE TIPS FOR PEARLS
Pearls are organic gemstones that are vulnerable to acid, alkaline and extremes of humidity. To preserve your pearls’ radiance, avoid letting them come into contact with cosmetics, hair spray, or perfume. Always put on your jewelry as a final touch, after applying make-up and styling hair.
The pearl’s luster can also be harmed by perspiration. To prevent this, before returning your pearls to the jewelry box, wipe them gently with a soft cloth.
Pearls are exceptionally cohesive and shock-resistant, but may be scratched by contact with sharp objects or other gemstones. To prevent tangles and scratches, fasten clasps and pins, then lay each item out separately in a compartmentalized jewelry box. When carrying jewelry, use a protective jewelry pouch.
Leaving pearl jewelry in a security box for long periods may cause pearls to dehydrate, so enjoy them frequently.
It is recommended to frequently clean pearls by gently wiping them with a soft cloth and by putting them away separately in their designated case.
STERLING SILVER
Sterling silver contains 92.5% silver. Pure silver is too malleable to be used in jewelry making and is therefore alloyed with another metal to make it more durable and rigid. Our sterling silver contains 7.5% copper.
For the best results, keep your sterling silver jewelry in a case lined with tarnish-resistant material. Be sure store sterling silver in a dry cool place.
Due to oxidation and wear, your sterling silver jewelry may tarnish over time. Regular cleaning with a sterling silver polish cloth will keep your jewelry looking like new. The safest and most effective way to polish sterling silver is to wipe it gently with a soft polishing cloth. Avoid using coarse fibers or fabrics, such as paper or polyester, as these can result in scratching. Feel free to wipe down your sterling silver as often as you would like to restore its shine and brilliance. Focus on marinating long up-and-down strokes to clean the jewelry. Be sure to use different parts of the cloth to avoid spreading any tarnish. Do not use circular motions here, as it can actually make the tarnish or dirt worse.
Be sure to avoid polishing any parts of the jewelry that is intentionally oxidized.
